Í byrjun júní tóku EAPN á Íslandi og Pepp Ísland á móti fulltrúum frá EAPN í Póllandi og sýndu þeim störf Peppsins og ýmissa annarra samtaka í Reykjavík. Við munum birta aðra samantekt af heimsókninni, ásamt myndum og umsögn gestanna, en hér að neðan má lesa yfirlýsingu um verkefnið sem heimsóknin var hluti af (á íslensku og ensku):

Verkefnið “Tölum um fátækt og félagslega einangrun” (Let’s talk about poverty and social exclusion) (desember 2021 – mars 2023), sem unnið er af WRZOS (Working Community of Uninons of Social Organizations) með aðstoð EAPN í Póllandi og EAPN á Íslandi, miðar að því að auka færni fólks sem býr við fátækt og félagslega einangrun, ásamt því að koma á samtali milli samtaka innan WRZOS og EAPN í Póllandi um fátækt og félagslega einangrun og aðgengi að félagslegri þjónustu.

Verkefnið innifelur:

  • Stofnun og fundi “Pepp” hóps (í Póllandi)
  • Fundi þátttökuhópa;
  • Þátttökumiðaðar umræður á landsvísu með námsheimsóknum;
  • Næsta tímabil af fjölmiðlaverðlaununum “Andlit fátæktar”; (Systurverkefni „Fjölmiðlaverðlauna götunnar“ á Íslandi.
  • Undirbúningur leiðbeingabæklings fyrir fjölmiðlafólk “Leiðbeiningar fyrir ábyrgðafulla meðferð fátæktar í fjölmiðlum”;
  • Mánaðarlegt upplýsingarit fyrir félög og fólk sem býr við fátækt og félagslega einangrun;
  • Skýrslu um starfsemi EAPN á Íslandi
  • Námsheimsókn til Íslands.

Kostnaður verkefnis: 84 816,00 evrur.

The project Let’s talk about poverty and social exclusion (12.2021 – 03.2023) implemented by the Working Community of Unions of Social Organizations (WRZOS) with the help of the Polish Committee of EAPN and EAPN Iceland, aims to increase the competences of people experiencing poverty and social exclusion as well as organizations associated in WRZOS and the Polish Committee EAPN in the field of dialogue and discussion on the issues of poverty and social exclusion as well as access to social services.

Activities in the project include:

  • Establishment and meetings of the PEP group;
  • Meetings of Participation Groups;
  • Regional participatory debates combined with study visits;
  • The next edition of the “Faces of poverty” competition for journalists;
  • Preparation Guide for journalists “Guide to responsible depiction of poverty in the media”;
  • Monthly Information Bulletin for organizations and people experiencing social exclusion;
  • Report of EAPN Iceland
  • Study visit in Iceland

Project costs: 84 816,00 euro.
